Maison 140, Beverly Hills

My super talented friend, Robert Evans, was allowed to release one image to the press after he shot Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes wedding. That's kind of how I feel today about the cool boudoir shoot I did this weekend at Maison 140 in Beverly Hills. As a matter of privacy and also because the shoot is an anniversary surprise for her husband, here is the one image I was allowed to release!

Hair and make-up were done by my FAVORITE make-up artist, Jacey Cosentino of Pro Beauty to You.

Some Sexy legs...

Back in the Bay Area!

My twin sister, Joy, is an incredibly integral part of my business. She and I are best friends and lead about as opposite lives as you can imagine. (I'm single and live alone in West Hollywood. Joy is married with two beautiful children and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.)

I'm at her house now because tomorrow's wedding is in Sonoma. I love shooting weddings in the Bay Area because it not only means Joy is my second shooter, but it means I get to play with my cute nieces, Penelope & Millie!

I used my "jb low red" preset on both of these images. I just love the look.

Maison 140, Beverly Hills

I love doing boudoir shoots at funky, cool hotels! Yesterday's shoot was in a bright orange room at Maison 140 in Beverly Hills.

Most of the images were a little too racy for the internet, but here is a little sneak peak.

Boudoir

Today I was in Westwood at the W for a boudoir session with Stephanie. Although boudoir sessions are popular, the shoot is usually a surprise for the fiance. This means I don't post any images. However, because Stephanie's man knows about today's shoot, she gave me permission to post a few of my favorites! I think she is so beautiful.

This was the first time I'd actually met Stephanie since she hired me over the phone months ago... but we hit it off immediately. She is really fun, and I'm looking forward to the engagement shoot I'm doing with her and Jeremiah tomorrow.

Stephanie's hair and make-up were done by the very talented Jacey Jean Costentino. I have worked with Jacey many times now, and I highly recommend her.

I also invented a new xmp file JUST for Stephanie: "jb vintage red." I used it on almost every image below.

Casual portraits

Today I had the opportunity to photograph a very interesting woman. Lori is a producer, and she needed some promotional headshots for a new documentary she is working on. She really wanted a more natural, casual look, and we were both very happy with the results.

Here are a few of my favorites:

my beautiful mom

Recently my sister and mom came to visit. The first day we spent having fun and going to the spa... the second day they worked in my office to help me get organized for the new year. My family rocks. Mom needed a new headshot for the Bear Valley Music Camp that she runs every summer, so we shot one in my living room against my favorite blue couches!

isn't she pretty??

Disneyland, revisited

Cassie's family flew out from Colorado so that I could shoot her senior portrait at Disneyland. I don't normally do senior portraits, but I'm always up for something new!

It was fun hanging out with the family because they got along so well. They just joked and laughed all day making the photo session really easy!

David Regier is a talented musician from San Diego. Today he drove up to meet me at LACMA so I could shoot images of him for the cover of his new CD, "All Glory." He is a fun person, and we got a lot of great stuff. Here is a small sample, but you can view all images if you click here!

Tiffany Stern!!!

My adorable friend and talented wedding photographer, Tiffany, needed new headshots for her website bio, so I agreed to take them for her.

I was excited to have the opportunity to shoot with the 5D and sampled a bunch of the different color settings... still don't have a favorite setting, but these are a few of my favorites of Tiffany.

Four Corners

erin

This was a really fun shoot! Erin is a lovely girl who is making a CD called "Four Corners." She wanted four different looks for the front of her CD, but with each look she wore a pair of bright red heels. We did the shoot at Union Station Downtown.
